OUR STORY

Heidi Pollan and Jennifer Novey, who goes by “Novey,” met in college at John Brown University, back in 2002. They immediately hit it off. These devoted ladies have rarely not been in contact even after Novey moved away to Iowa. In 2017, Novey introduced Heidi to the world of podcasting. “I instantly loved the medium,” Heidi said. “It was something that I could listen to any time I wanted and where ever I wanted. As I listened to more episodes, saw the variety of shows out there and saw that the podcast horizon had no end in sight, I thought, Novey and I could do this. Not only could we do this, but it will force things into our schedules and add some more flare to our friendship.”

So in 2019, Bodeski Productions was created and it began producing its flagship show, Losing Your V. Since then Heidi and Novey have poured all their spare time into teaching themselves about how to create, edit, produce, and host a podcast developing an end to end product. In 2020, four more shows were added to the production list. 10 Tech Minutes, Off the Crust, My Baby You’ll Be, and Big Fit Baby Steps. The company’s motto, ‘Listen Creatively’, is represented by the variety of our shows and the flexibility that comes with the podcast experience.

MY STORY

Heidi Elizabeth Pollan was born in Monett, MO in 1980. Her parents had their own appliances service business and set an example for hard work and determination which she took to heart. Heidi’s hard work translated to attending college on full academic and athletic scholarships. She possesses a BA in Sports Medicine from John Brown University and a MA in Higher Education from University of Missouri – KC. Graduation didn’t put an end to her learning. She has taught herself to be an accomplished artist with multiple murals in downtown Little Rock. She started working at her parent’s business in 2007 which has taught her how to run a business. In 2019, Heidi taught herself how to podcast and started Bodeski Productions. She now creates the music, logos, content, edits, and produces the majority of the shows for Bodeski.

In addition to her professional life, Heidi married Justin Pollan in 2011. That was also the year they lost their first child, Bear Daniel. As opposed to letting that scar feel like a blemish, she has embraced it as part of her life’s story and now produces, My Baby You’ll Be. Her hope is that the show will be an outreach to anyone who has been affected by a child lost in utero. The couple has gone on to have two additional children who are just as much of a handful as their parents were. Northwest Arkansas is where Heidi resides and always hopes to live. Her passions include her family, playing sports, camping, canoeing, art, podcasting, and animals. She currently has a yellow lab named Shooter and a lab/shepherd mix named Trigger. Trigger is a trained emotional support animal and loves to provide care to anyone in emotional need.
